Online poker playing can be both fun and rewarding. You're not only playing a "game" but you are also exercising your decision making skills. You get to play against world-class poker players and you may even make a little money. As with any card game, there is the big element of chance but for those who take it a step further, this element of chance or "luck" can be greatly reduced by using strategy and ingenuity. Many people think that by playing a lot will increase their chances of winning (practice makes perfect right?) A better way to look at it would be "perfect practice makes perfect." Even if you cannot guarantee that you will win every time, playing online poker with new, effective strategies will increase your chances of winning (or maybe not losing as much!)

Remember the age-old saying "it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game." Well let's take this a step further and ask ourselves, are we playing to win or playing to lose? It's all fine to play something we enjoy, be it poker, volleyball, tennis, golf, board games, etc. but when was the last time that we actually played something, lost the game (and maybe some money!) and said "wow that was fun!? Sure you may have actually enjoyed playing but isn't it much sweeter to be the victorious one?

I think it's important to enjoy what you do but wouldn't it be much more enjoyable if you were to make some money or even make a living doing it?
